Accuracy and accountability
Corrections Policy
How calculation, source, factual, accessibility and presentation issues are reported, prioritized and corrected.
Report an issue
Send the page URL, the result or statement you believe is incorrect, the inputs used, and any supporting official source through our contact page. Do not send sensitive employment, payroll or identity documents.
How issues are prioritized
- Critical: a formula, eligibility flow or rate may produce materially incorrect results.
- High: an official source or legal explanation is materially outdated or misleading.
- Standard: wording, broken links, accessibility or presentation issues that do not change results.
Correction process
We reproduce the issue, review the applicable rule version and sources, update code or content, run relevant tests and publish only after the change passes review. A calculator may be temporarily limited or accompanied by a warning if a material issue cannot be resolved promptly.
Public correction record
Material changes to formulas, eligibility, date-effective rates or conclusions are recorded in the Update and Review History. Minor spelling and formatting fixes may be corrected without a separate entry.
