WageWise Canada is an independently operated Canadian informational website that publishes wage calculators, employment-standards explainers and practical pay guides. The site is managed under the WageWise Canada name by its site owner, editorial team and calculator-development team.

WageWise Canada is not a federal, provincial or territorial government service and is not affiliated with a labour ministry, employment-standards authority, tax authority or court. Government names and links are used only to identify jurisdictions and official sources.

Our mission

Our goal is to make common Canadian pay calculations easier to understand without hiding the assumptions behind a result. A useful calculator should tell readers what information it needs, what formula it applies, which jurisdiction it covers, where the rule came from and when the page was reviewed.

We serve employees, employers, payroll and human-resources users, students and researchers who need an accessible starting point. The website provides education and estimation—not personal legal, payroll, accounting or tax advice.

How our work is produced

Calculator and editorial work follows documented standards for primary sources, effective dates, scope, exclusions, review metadata, testing and corrections. Statutory tools are not published merely because a formula can be coded; the supported rule and unsupported situations must also be explained.
